A Hogwarts Letter

Hello. My name is Nay (Nadia) and this is my original blog.

This blog here is about sending you a Hogwarts letter. There will be a drawing of 12 letters (except for the first drawing) to be mailed ever so often because, well, I'm a college student and that means I have to be money conscious. It's going to be open for three days and then I won't accept anymore submissions for that drawing just so that I'm not overwhelmed with entries - being assumptive here.

All I'm asking for is a sentence or two as to why you want the letter. Then if you're picked, I'll simply need your address. The end and enjoy your letter.

I'm doing this because I like the people who follow me and this is just me attempting a selfless act just so people can be happy =]. The only thing I want in return is a smile.

Q: hey there! could you please give a more detailed way of making the letter? (:

I’m not sure what you mean. If you check the ‘makeyourownletter’ link, you just follow that and you should be good to go.

mugglenet:

I recently made custom Hogwarts Acceptance letters available in my Etsy store!

I also recently made my first sale. Images of the completed product can be seen here.

Q: Publish a photo of your letter! Pleeease!

I don’t have one on hand at the moment. Sorry!

Anonymous:

Q: Is that background picture your letter?

Nope. I probably should publish one.

Q: Hi! I'm making my own letter and I was just wondering if you could tell me what size the font is. =)

In which part?

familyofmyheart:

Q: Would you like help with the letters?

Do you make them?

Anonymous:

Q: Do you happen to have the hogwarts crest for the letter?

Nope :/

everllarkable:

Q: is it to late for the letters?? :/

Until I get a money, time, printer, and supplies, yep

Q: I just thought you might like to know so you can inform people, the WB webstore now sells customized acceptance letters. You can get them in an American version or a UK version (they differ in the wording). If I remember correctly they are about $25, which I know is kind of pricey.

Q: I NEED A LETTER. MY WHOLE LIFE IS DEPENDANT UPON IT.

Well, perhaps it’s time for a new priority… make yourself one.

I fear being stoned but I have some bad news.

My old roommate took her printer and my ink with her when she packed up her things at the end of the school year. Also my stuff to make the Hogwarts letters is packed away in some place I am far too lazy to dig up any moment soon.

That means making those letters I promised three forevers ago won’t happen… at least for awhile. I don’t know how long that while will be. I am truly very sorry about that. I had a rough semester and the last thing I wanted to really do was sort through who should get a letter. And then that printer can be such a witch with printing the way I want it to. I was lacking some patience back then. Add my financial woes (what with graduating and having no job as yet) to that and it made the outcome more impossible.

If when I’m ready to make those letters you’re still around, I will mail them. Again, sorry. Sometimes your best doesn’t get the job done, but try to wear at least one of my shoes. Tight, ain’t it?

Q: Will you have another draw again? 'Cause I missed it.... :(

If I have a job that’s making good money, yes, but it won’t be for awhile since I will soon have loans to pay off and bills… all that adult stuff.

Q: When are you deciding who gets letters?

I’ve roughly already decided but it’s so hard to reject others so I just have to go over once again and just do the dang thing.

Anonymous:

Q: Are you going to message the people who win?

Yes. My school life chaotic at the moment. Please do be patient with me. I think it’s worth it :).

Q: How many people asked for letters from you?

I forget how many entries I got but I’m going to say about 130.
